Superposition Activity

Page history last edited by Tolboom 10 years, 11 months ago

Rules

You will be split into six teams. Each team will have to create a superposition problem and each superposition problem will be left at a lab table. Teams will then rotate, completing the problems. After each team has done each problem we will compare answers to see how well you did. Scoring is as follows:

  • +1 For each problem your group completed correctly
  • -3 If you messed up the creation of your problem

Each member of the team with the most points will receive 2 extra credit points on the next assessment.

Problem Guidelines

Draw three charges arranged in a straight line and label them A, B, and C. Label the distances between each charge making sure the distances are different, less than 0.5m, and greater than 0.0m. Label each charge with their value in Coulombs. Make sure you specify whether each charge is positive or negative and give the charge a magnitude between 0C and 100E-6C. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM WHEN YOU CREATE IT. You will solve it when you rotate through the problems with your team.
